    Middle School Intensives

In March of 2017, Middle School students took part in "Intensives" for the first time at Selwyn House. Intensive Courses provide opportunities for students to pursue passions and discover new interests. The courses are offered by middle school teachers with lessons coming largely out of guided student activities rather than direct instruction allowing students to experience the thrill of learning without the typical extrinsic motivation of grades. The intensives offered in 2017 included diverse interests such as cooking, coding, comic book creation, broadcasting, exploring National and municipal parks, and more. You can read more about each intensive course and view the finished projects of students HERE.
