On December 2, the Grade 11 biology class visited the Montreal General Hospital Trauma Centre, facilitated by Code Trauma and the Montreal General Hospital Foundation. Students gained a unique insight into the real-life consequences of risky behaviours and the medical teams who treat trauma patients. They visited key areas of MGH, including the emergency room, CT scan room, operating room, intensive care unit, and physical therapy. Students also heard from speakers about the life-saving impact of organ and tissue donations and the testimonial of a trauma survivor treated at MGH. The visit concluded with a donation to MGH on behalf of Selwyn House School. - Ms. Dalton, Senior School Science teacher
