Students donate backpacks

Selwyn House Grade 6 student Finnley Sinnaeve has come up with a new way to help the homeless: give them backpacks. Realizing that used backpacks could be very useful to transient persons, Finnley appealed to his fellow students to donate their used backpacks. On the School’s Spirit Day—September 26— he presented his collection to local social service organizations. Accepting the donation were, from left: Sheila Woodhouse, Director of Nazareth House, Finnley Sinnaeve, Cabot Park outreach worker David Crane and SHS Parent Volunteer Nancy Berney.
