Debaters place second in Toronto
Selwyn House Senior Debaters registered their best showing ever for the Canadian British Parliamentary Championships, held at The York School in Toronto Dec. 1 and 2.
The team of Gabriel Di Bert and Joshua Cohen (both Gr.11) made it all the way to the final and took second place overall. This placement qualifies them for the Cambridge Schools Tournament in England in March 2019.
“Congratulations as well to Isaac Cape and Jonah Rosen (both Gr. 10) for their excellent performance, and to Dylan Lee (Gr. 9) for his hybrid efforts,” said Debating Coach Jonathan Bracewell. “It was a wonderful way to end 2018.”
