Students excel at Regional Science Fair

Three Selwyn House students were recognized for outstanding work at the Hydro Quebec Montreal Regional Science Fair, held at Concordia University March 24-26.
 
Oliver Delplace (Gr. 8) received a high distinction award, along with the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanic Society Award and the McGill University Department of Food Science and Agriculture Chemistry Award. 
 
Denis Dariotis (Gr. 9) finished with an award of distinction and The Antidote Award for the quality of language for his project.
 
James Sabbagh (Gr. 8) received an award of distinction.
 
These students’ presentations were among 170 projects from various schools across Montreal. They presented their projects to judges and onlookers.
 
“Congratulations to all the boys,” says science teacher Haneefa Corbie. “We are so proud of you.”
 
While attending the competition at Concordia, the boys were given a private tour of the University’s Society of Automotive Engineers laboratory by Old Boy Riccardo Lopez 2014.
