SHS students get McGill math lecture online

On May 22, SHS Senior School math teacher Samara Sayegh’s AP Calculus class received a custom lesson by guest lecturer Professor Sidney Trudeau, faculty lecturer for 25 years in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McGill University.

“He and I had been in touch about what the boys have been learning since they wrote the AP Calculus exam, so he made a custom 25-minute lecture just for them,” says Ms. Sayegh.

“It was meant to complement the lecture a portion of our boys sat in on when they joined his university lecture online back in late March,” she explains.

“And yes, Isaac Cape stayed on after to ask questions. It was great!”
