Midget soccer team ends season in playoff game loss

The Selwyn House Midget soccer team concluded its season on Monday, November 1, as it lost to Kuper Academy by a score of 4-0 in a playoff game.

The team had mixed results during the regular season, with three wins, three losses and one tie.

Coaches Pete Govan and Bruce Maxwell enjoyed coaching the boys this season. ‘‘We definitely saw them improve in terms of their skills and maturity as young men,’’ says Coach Maxwell. ‘‘Also, we expect many of them to move up to the Senior team, and some others can have the opportunity to play a more active role next year if they are going into Grade 10 for the Midget Team.’’
