Students celebrate Selwyn's 113th birthday

On November 25, 2021, the Selwyn House community celebrated Founder’s Day, marking the school’s 113th birthday.

A full day of activities unfolded at the school, starting with two student assemblies held in Coristine Hall. Elementary School students learned about all nine headmasters of the school through a skit by teacher Ryan Kennedy, who played the character of the school’s oldest Old Boy.

Later, Middle and Senior School students took to the stage and shared the stories of each headmaster in front of their peers. Headmaster Mike Downey then took the stage and spoke of the meaning of the school’s motto, Veritas, in the context of the realities of the modern world. The assembly concluded with the singing of the school hymn.
