Grade 10 students reflect during multi-day retreat

Grade 10 students began their transition to Grade 11 during a retreat in the Laurentians region, north of Montreal.

The boys reflected on their journey and identity while examining the options they have as they head into their final year of high school.

The group engaged in a wide variety of activities that required teamwork and collaborative thinking to help them build a strong connection as a class and begin to set the tone for the school culture they will create next year as the leaders of the school.

Some of the activities included:
  • A hike on Mont Kaaikop
  • Wellness workshops
  • Presentation on post-secondary options 
  • Wilderness first aid scenarios
  • Overview of graduation activities and the Veritas Diploma
  • An unconference - opportunity for students to pick discussion topics about things they want to see in the school
  • Reflection sessions, including writing a letter to themselves for Grade 11
