Coach Laperle part of Team inducted in Mcgill Sports Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Coach Chris Laperle! Mr. Laperle served as one of the assistant coaches on the 2011-12 McGill men's hockey team that is being inducted into the McGill Sports Hall of Fame. The team won their first-ever University Cup national championship along with many other accolades. Here is the full press release from McGill University:
 
The 2011-12 McGill men's hockey team, under the guidance of second-year head coach Kelly Nobes, posted a stellar 22-4-2 record in the 19-team OUA league and went 32-12-1 overall, en route to capturing the OUA's Queen's Cup title and their first-ever University Cup national championship. In the CIS gold medal game, McGill survived a major penalty that ran into overtime before graduating team captain Evan Vossen scored the game-winning goal at 6:00 of the sudden-death period to give his troops a 4-3 victory over Western at the Aitken Centre in Fredericton, N.B. McGill outscored opponents 104-62 in league play and were ranked among the top four teams the entire season in the weekly Top 10.

The lineup featured three OUA all-stars, namely forward Francis Verreault-Paul, goaltender Hubert Morin and All-Canadian defenceman Marc-André Dorion. Other members of the roster were Ryan McKiernan, Alexandre Picard-Hooper, Hubert Genest, Hugo Laporte, Vincent Bourgeois, Nicolas Biniek, Neil Blunden, Benjamin Morse, Jean-François Boisvert, Daniel Conacher, Marc-André Daneau, Maxime Langelier-Parent, Andrew Wright, Keven Dupont, Patrick Belzile, Justin Ducharme, Nicolas Therrien, Guillaume Langelier-Parent, Christophe Longpré-Poirier, Benoît Levesque, Marc-Olivier Vachon and Mark Segal. The coaching staff also included assistant coaches Daniel Jacob, Stéphane Fortin, Chris Laperle and Jean St-Pierre.
