Senior School experiences the mighty Gatineau River

Grade 10 and 11 students experienced 4 days and 3 nights of camping on the shores of the mighty Gatineau River on the weekend of September 17. Students learned about swift water rescue and safety, local indigenous history and culture, place and respect, communal camping and cooking techniques as well as leadership. Despite lots of rain and many challenges the students exhibited high levels of R.O.C.K. (Resiliency, Optimism, Curiosity and Kindness). - Matt Pickrell, Outdoor Education Teacher
