Grade 10 Students Collect Summer Essentials for John's House

 
Throughout the month of February, Grade 10 students embarked on a community service project in partnership with The Nazareth Community. Working in their TAG groups, the students are collecting essential summer supplies and fundraising for the residents of John’s house - a subdivision of the Nazareth Community. Click here to read more about this program. John’s house provides temporary housing for young adult males who are experiencing homelessness and/or at risk for homelessness. Last week, the students got to meet with organization representatives from John’s house, learn about the importance of this organization and some will have the opportunity to participate in a music group program held at John’s house towards the end of the month. Below is the list of items that the grade will be collecting: 
  • Sweaters/Hoodies  
  • T Shirts/ tank tops 
  • Shorts/ Sweatpants 
  • Underwear/ Socks 
  • Pillows/ Twin bed sheets/ duvet covers 
    Board Games/ Books 
    Sports equipment (hockey stick, basketball, football, soccer ball etc.)
