Grade 4 parent shares love of drawing with students

On February 27, Everett's dad, Lino DiSalvo, came to speak to Grades 3 and 4 about his passion for drawing. From a young age, he would always draw, to the point where he would get in trouble in school. He shared how his passion for drawing and daily devotion to his craft made him go far in his career. It helped that his parents supported his passion and encouraged him to attend film school in Vancouver. He went on to work at Disney, right out of school, in animation. DiSalvo spent almost 17 years at Disney and served as Head of Animation on Frozen. Lino is currently developing an animated feature about monsters, wizards and magical spells inspired by Italian folklore and drawing heavily on his cultural heritage.
