From mini series to official league? Time will tell!

The Old Boys' Mini Hockey Series has been a great new initiative! Seven games were played from October to February at McConnell Arena (McGill University) with the finale taking place on February 19. OBA Board member and organizer of the series EJ Boffey '12 had this to say about the experience:

 

"I think we've done well for our official "début" season–creating much interest from a tight-knit group of guys. Over the past 5-7 games, we've had the same crowd show up every time, mostly from the '08-'09 graduating classes. Generating interest and getting commitment from future players will be our key to success in the coming years."

 

After such a fun and successful season, the OBA board is considering taking this to the next level–possibly an official OBA league, where multiple teams go head-to-head every week. Stay tuned to hear about future plans!
