Another Basketball Championship Banner

The Bantam D3 Basketball team competed at the RSEQ for the first time, finishing with a 12-1 record on the season, culminating in a convincing win in the championship game. The Gryphons prevailed with a final score of 72-61 in the final against UQAM vs École Secondaire Lucien-Pagé and brought the championship banner home for the second year in a row.

 

This feat is all the more impressive given the larger RSEQ region. This year's team is made up of many returning players from last year’s GMAA championship team, and it was evident that the continuity helped establish a winning team culture and a supportive environment. Our new players immediately bought into the core values and aims of the group, and the boys held high expectations for themselves that they were ultimately able to achieve through hard work. Coach Addona and I are immensely proud of the team environment that the boys have built over the last two years, and we feel very strongly that this group will continue to compete a high level as they pursue collective basketball goals. - Mr. O.
