Bilboquet offers a sweet deal for Contactivity

The Contactivity Centre, a Westmount senior citizens’ community organization, is searching for a new place to call home once pandemic restrictions lift and members are allowed to reconvene in person. In an effort to support Contactivity’s vision, Le Glacier Bilboquet in Westmount is generously offering all the profits they make this summer to the centre.

Selwyn House and Contactivity have a long-standing partnership that has seen many projects involving seniors and students come to fruition. Just this past year, over 50 Middle and Senior School students participated in the “Leave Out Loneliness” program, which had students calling their senior partners each week to help them with technology questions and to help break their isolation. Students also assisted the seniors with their photography and digital literacy skills. Seniors read over Zoom to Elementary School students, and they honed their musical chops by singing and dancing in two holiday-themed music videos that were shared with the community.

If going out for ice cream is on your list of things to do this summer, please consider supporting our friends at Contactivity.
