Computer programming and music collide

Grades 7-9 students started exploring the basic concepts of electrical circuits using the "Makey Makey" system, an invention designed to connect everyday objects, like bananas, to computer keys. The students use conductive materials to create custom instruments and controllers. After learning the basics the students can enhance their creations through computer programming and customizing music software like Ableton Live. This learning experience was made possible through Annual Giving Campaign donations which supports our endeavours to stay on top of cutting-edge technologies and interactive learning. When we Dream Big, amazing experiences like this are available for our students. Thank you to the Selwyn House School community, for our Makey Makey kits! - Adam Hodgins, Music Technology Teacher
