Grade 9 Skill-Building and Mentorship Activities

On November 23, Grade 9 students took part in an activities day off-campus that focused on building their collaboration and communication skills. This year, the Grade 9s are focusing on the Veritas truths of True to Self and True to Others, and the day was designed for them to reflect on themselves and the roles they play in supporting their classmates.

Students engaged in team building challenges, conflict resolution role play, and team competitions throughout the day, and they had the opportunity to have lunch with an Old Boy to gain insights on life at and beyond Selwyn. This was the second of three grade-specific workshop days the Grade 9s will participate in this year.

Participating Old Boys included: Bruce Gill ‘65, Zahoor Chughtai ‘94, Anthony (Nino) Zammit ‘02, Nikki Papich ‘10, Eric-James (EJ) Boffey ‘12, and O’Shae Ho Sang '17.

Thank you to the staff, Old Boys, parents, and animators for making this an engaging and enjoyable experience for all the students! – Ms. Torry, Student Life and Leadership Coordinator
