The Micro Habitat roof garden at Selwyn House School is a great project where bees and plants live in perfect symbiosis. The garden includes 100 melliferous flowers for the Bee Oasis beehive and produced more than 60 kg of vegetables this summer on less than 500 square feet.
The gardens situated on the sides of the Speirs and Macaulay building are cultivated by the Elementary students with the help of their teachers. The grow a variety of vegetables including tomatoes, cucumbers, etc....
That's what we call making a step towards sustainability!
