Selwyn House Athletes Shine at the Elementary GMAA Track Meet

On May 27, sixteen Grade 5 and 6 athletes were selected to represent Selwyn House at the GMAA Track and Field Meet at Riverside Park. For many Elementary students, this meet is their very first time racing on a rubber track, often inspiring them to pursue track and field at a higher level.

 

Our athletes ran, jumped, and threw their way through a packed day of track and field, competing in everything from sprints and distance races to javelin, hurdles, long jump, and the crowd favourite 4x100m relay.

 

Our boys had an outstanding day, bringing home an incredible haul of ribbons, including 11 first-place, 6 second-place, and 2 third-place finishes. Congratulations to all of our amazing track and field athletes on a phenomenal day! - Ms. Paracholski, Grade 5 Homeroom teacher and Track and Field coach
