Selwyn House Wins Quebec Debating Championships 2026

From February 7-8, the Selwyn House Debating Team attended the Quebec Debating Championships, and did splendidly. The team of Jacob B., and Yuri M. won the Senior Championship, and Jacob was the Top Speaker for the tournament. The team of William L., and Max A. placed 3rd, and the team of Jacques H. and Finlay M. placed 4th. Joseph B. and Ken G., placed 6th. Matej B. and Harry G. placed 6th in the Junior Tournament, and will be invited to the National Junior Debating Championship which will be in Winnipeg this May. Our Grade 8 team of Tycho V., and Liam S. placed an impressive 8th.
