On April 7, our students from the AP Calculus class headed to McGill University where they sat in on a 300 person Calculus II lecture in the Adams Auditorium. The lecture, which explored the procedure for representing a family of functions as a power series and determining the interval of convergence, was given by the esteemed Professor Sidney Trudeau of the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics. The students appreciated the opportunity to experience university life and were proud that they were able to follow a college level course. Hopefully this is just the beginning of the post-secondary mathematical pursuits of this stellar group. Well done, Mathematicians! - Ms. Sayegh, Senior School Mathematics Department Head
