Collision Course: Physics in Motion!

To gain a deeper understanding of dynamics, Grade 12 Physics students analyzed various collisions using low-friction hover disks. By investigating both head-on and 90-degree collisions, they applied concepts of kinematics, momentum, forces, and energy to calculate the efficiency of each transfer. The students utilized slow-motion video analysis to maximize measurement accuracy and determine whether the collisions were elastic or inelastic. Who knew that so much math could be so fun? - Mr. Tom Downey, Pre-U Physics Teacher
