The 22nd Annual Old Boys’ Colin No Memorial Basketball Classic, held on January 21, was a fantastic celebration that brought together Old Boys from across the years. The event provided a great opportunity for alumni to reconnect, stay active, and celebrate the lasting legacy of Colin No ’97.
The evening welcomed 23 Old Boys, 5 staff members, and 3 guests. More than just a night of basketball, the event continues to be a meaningful opportunity to bring the community together in support of the
Colin No ’97 Memorial Fund. Each year, the Classic builds on its strong foundation, and we are excited about the potential to expand the tournament, elevate the experience, and bring it to a new level in the years ahead.
A big thank you to our referees — the legendary — Marty Boyle and Pete Govan for their expert officiating. Reminiscing on the game Marty stated: “Phil Clark deserves a huge shout-out. He runs the Old Boys’ basketball, makes everyone feel welcome, never takes the spotlight, and always passes to his teammates even though he might be one of the best players on the court.”
Director of Athletics, Mike Maurovich provided an update on the state of the school, and Mr. Jonathan Merritt followed with highlights from our basketball program. The Colin No Memorial Basketball Classic remains a powerful reflection of the strength, spirit, and generosity of the Selwyn House community, and we look forward to growing this tradition and creating even more memorable moments in the future.
