David Cude Memorial Elementary Hockey Tournament 2026

The 2026 edition of the David Cude Memorial Elementary Hockey Tournament was a tremendous success. Held on February 5 and 6, the nine invited teams, made for two outstanding days of hockey. The fans were loud, and the excitement built as everyone eagerly awaited the outcome of the final round-robin game to determine which teams would advance to the championship round.

 

It was also wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces, former colleagues, and to welcome Wendy Cude, wife of Dave Cude once again this year as well as retired Elementary Hockey Coach Jean Pruneau.

 

I would like to sincerely thank all the volunteers who contributed their time and effort to help run the tournament. A special thank you to the Selwyn staff members, coaches of all participating teams, the referees, the athletic therapy staff, and everyone at the WRC whose dedication ensured the event ran smoothly.
