Selwyn Students Excel in University of Waterloo Math Contests
Students in the Senior School were recently recognized at assembly, celebrating their outstanding performances in the University of Waterloo Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing contests, including the Pascal, Cayley, Fermat, Galois, Hypatia, and Euclid competitions.
Several students earned Certificates of Distinction by placing in the top 25% of contestants across Canada. Congratulations to Leo V. (Pascal), Shawn C., Jacques H., and Mikko W. (Cayley), Gianluca C., William L., Adam S., and Bill Z. (Fermat), as well as Jacques H. and Leo V. (Galois) for their exceptional results.
Special recognition goes to this year’s school top scorers: Leo V. (Pascal) , Mikko W. (Cayley), Bill Z. (Fermat), Jacques H. (Galois), Justin M. (Hypatia), and Justin M. once again for winning the highly challenging Euclid Contest by a single point.
