Game 6 Recap: Gryphons Dominate Rivals, Finishes Regular Season Undefeated

Kirk Brydges
The Gryphons closed out the regular season in commanding fashion with a 35–0 victory over cross-town rivals Loyola, completing a perfect 6–0 record and outscoring opponents 261–48.

The game got off to a slow start offensively, but the Gryphons’ defense stood tall, setting the tone and keeping Loyola off the scoreboard. Once the offense found its rhythm, the team erupted, with five different players crossing the goal line, showcasing the squad’s depth, versatility, and explosive talent.

I’m so proud of this team and their love for each other. Our defense set the foundation, and when our offense clicked, it was unstoppable. This team’s hard work and focus all season has been nothing short of extraordinary.

With a bye week ahead, the Gryphons will rest, recover, and fine-tune in preparation for their first playoff matchup, scheduled for October 23–26.
