Grade 8 Math Olympics

Once again the Sixth Annual Selwyn-ECS Math Olympics, hosted by Ms. Morris and Ms. Farnell, proved to be great fun! Our bright and courageous boys and girls completely dominated the challenging puzzles and did a great job thinking outside of the box! Several puzzles that have not been successfully completed in the past couple of years were amazingly completed this year with time to spare! Ultimately it was the clever wagering in the Final Jeopardy round that determined our winners from the closest scored game in our Math Olympics history! Congratulations to the winning team Nicholas Moukas, Toby Fischer, Sophia Chehade and Yi Lin Lu and to all of our participating mathematicians: Bryton Liu, Alex Lin Hu, Rory Krnjevic, Hunter Hoy, Dylan Merovitz, Imtiyaz Bandali, Sebastian Schoeter and Enoch Tamale, and to all the ECS participants for contributing to such a wonderful afternoon!
