Ottawa Chapter Reunion - November 2023

Eighteen Old Boys ranging from the Class of 1953 to the Class of 2017 (representing seven decades!), and two former staff joined Headmaster Michael Downey, Director of Athletics Mike Maurovich, and Director of Advancement Sharon Cozens at the Ottawa Chapter Reunion on November 8 at LUXE Bistro. OBA Board Director Rodney Moore '58 welcomed our guests, and introduced the Honourable Greg Fergus, Class of 1986, and Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada, who spoke about the importance of coming together in support of Selwyn House. Anthony LeMoine '57 shared his father's story. John LeMoine served on the first board of Selwyn House Association established in 1945 which raised capital to acquire the school from the late Headmaster Wanstall's heirs. Thus was the a new beginning for the school. All were interested to hear about this chapter in our history and excited about the new Grade 12 and future plans for Selwyn.
