Vince Guzzo ’86 says we will have to refer to him as “Your Lordship” now that he has received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Vince now joins the ranks of two other Old Boys (as far as we know), Harry Bloomfield ’59 and Lieutenant Christopher Robinson 2000, to receive this special honour. The medals were presented on April 8 at a ceremony held at the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre in St. Leonard.
Created in 2012 to mark the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne, the Diamond Jubilee Medal was created to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians. During the year of celebrations, 60,000 deserving Canadians were recognized.
