PUBLIC TRANSIT

Selwyn House School is easily accessible by public transit. Options include taking the #24 bus which stops on Sherbrooke Street West, one block south of the school, or travelling by metro. From the Atwater metro station, students have a 10-minute walk to the school, and from the Vendome station, students take a bus that brings them to within a block of the school. Students living on the West Island can take the AMT commuter train that stops at the Vendome metro station. In addition to the bus and metro, a BIXI bike station is located at the corner of Sherbrooke Street West and Argyle Avenue.


DEDICATED BUS SERVICES

Selwyn House School and six other local QAIS schools (The Study, Sacred Heart School, Centennial Academy, Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s School, St. George’s School, and Trafalgar) operate three dedicated bus services for students. These safe, reliable services offer the option of one- or two-way travel. They also offer students the convenience of two afternoon departures from the school – the first at 3:30 pm and the second at 5:00 pm to accommodate after-school or athletic activities.

WEST ISLAND

The first bus service, run in cooperation with six QAIS schools as mentioned above, accommodates students living in several communities on the West Island. It operates with two buses, with stops in Beaconsfield, Pointe Claire, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Kirkland, and Nouveau St-Laurent. For the 2017-2018 school year, the cost is $187/month for two-way service and $142/month for one-way service.

ILE-DES-SOEURS

The second bus is run in cooperation with The Study, ECS, and St. George’s School, and services Ile-des-Soeurs. Door-to-door service for students in Kindergarten to Grade 2 is offered whenever possible, and the cost for the 2017-2018 school year is $200/month for two-way service and $160/month for one-way service.

LAVAL

The third bus is run in cooperation with The Study, ECS, and St. George’s School, and services the northern suburb of Laval and Boisfranc/Nouveau St-Laurent. This new service has two stops in Laval and three stops along Marcel Laurin (autoroute 117) in Ville St-Laurent. The cost for the 2017-2018 school year is $205/month for two-way service and $165/month for one-way service.

CARPOOLING

The school offers assistance in connecting families who are interested in carpooling.
