Dear Gryphon Football Players and Parents,

As the school year has now ended, the coaching staff and I would like to wish everyone a safe, enjoyable, and well-deserved summer break. We are excited for what lies ahead and are looking forward to an exciting season of Gryphon Football.

August 12, 2026 marks the beginning of the next chapter for Selwyn House School Football. For the second year, our varsity football team will compete for the CISAA Championship and face teams from across two provinces.

Preparation will be key, and training camp is just around the corner.

Come prepared!

Our pre-season game is scheduled for August 28th, 5 pm, followed by a non-conference game on September 10, 2026, and the CISAA Championship Game will take place on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

Players should be ready for fitness testing at training camp:
The 300-yard shuttle test:
  • 6 × 50 yards / 1-minute rest / Repeat x3
  • Target time for 300 yards: under 60 seconds each

Summer Training:
The weight room will be open throughout the summer. I strongly encourage all athletes to take advantage of this opportunity to stay active and build strength and endurance. Arriving at camp physically prepared will improve your performance and help prevent injuries.
Playbooks will be sent out later this summer.

Enjoy your summer, stay active, and come back ready to compete.
