Staff and Students Learn About Traditional Mohawk Recipes
In November, a group of students and staff had the great privilege of spending time with Old Boy Ryland Diome '06 at his restaurant, Screaming Chef Cuisine in Kahnawake. Weaving history into each ingredient, Ryland broke down traditional Mohawk recipes, sharing his wealth of knowledge. Students and staff learned about and enjoyed strawberry juice, cornbread, and corn soup. Ryland shared his vision for Screaming Chef as a community-first establishment. His passion comes through clearly in both his words and his food. Thank you, Ryland, for welcoming us into your kitchen and giving our staff and students this hands-on experience! - Ms. Schwartz, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Global Education Coordinator
