Pre-University Class of 2025 Shares Real First-Year Lessons

On February 18, Pre-U was thrilled to welcome back members of the Class of 2025 for a candid and insightful university panel with our current Grade 12 students. Now in their first year of university, our alumni shared honest reflections on what it really means to survive  and thrive on campus.

Their stories were engaging, entertaining, and refreshingly real. They spoke about developing independence, building strong note-taking and study habits, learning to be vulnerable and ask for help, navigating large lecture halls, connecting with professors, forming friendships and study groups, adjusting to life away from home, managing culture shock, and finding a healthy balance between academics and social life.

A heartfelt thank you to the graduates who joined us in person from Waterloo, Queen’s, and McGill, and to the three who tuned in virtually from Coventry (UK), Johns Hopkins, and Babson College. Your honesty and generosity made a lasting impact on our students. - Ms. Peterman, College & University Advisor
