Pre-U Students Take Centre Stage as Arts Fest Opens with Masterclasses

Arts Fest 2026 kicked off with a performance of Patrick Greene's Masterclasses, featuring a dedicated ensemble of Pre-U students, staff, and five Grade 11 participants. Audiences for both the matinee and evening shows were treated to a tour of Morley Buck's School of Serious Acting for Extraordinary Actors, encountering its unusual faculty and their highly specialized instructional methods. Ms. Martin had a fabulous time working with her hodgepodge cast, and has especially enjoyed hearing such iconic lines as "No one asked you, Rachel!" and "Energy Canon!" being bandied about. Special shout out to Elio Mendolia '25, Pre-U '26 who was too unwell to take on his role, but who was a driving force behind the production, and, to Jasper O. who graciously stepped in.
