Dear Fellow Students and extended Selwyn House Families,
My name is Michael Feldman, and I am a Prefect and a proud member of the 2021 SHS graduating class. To be sure, this scholastic year was not what was expected. Each of us looked forward to celebrating academic and sporting success with our classmates and teammates; graduation trips, ceremonies and parties with dear friends and family. Certainly, we are disappointed – but that does not diminish our pride in Selwyn House, nor our commitment to the school and our broader community. As the graduating class, we believe that we need to firmly establish our legacy and leave a positive stamp on the school that befits our shared experience.
This year, the graduating class has committed to conferring a meaningful graduation gift to the school (more on that below) and establishing our legacy by funding a bursary for future qualified Selwyn House applicants who may not otherwise have the financial means to attend Selwyn House School. The amount we raise to fund this bursary will depend entirely upon you!
We have commissioned an incredible young Montreal-born artist to produce an original painting for the school as well as 100 limited edition prints that will first be sold to families of the Class of 2021 and then to the general alumni community thereafter. One hundred percent of the proceeds (net only of the artist's commission and the cost of print materials and shipping) will establish
The Class of 2021 Bursary - the first "Class of" Bursary at Selwyn House. This initiative was well-received by Grade 11s at a recent assembly.
On behalf of the Class of 2021, we thank you for your interest and invite you to read all the details below. Please contact me or Sharon Cozens, Director of Advancement, directly, if you have any questions.
Thank you, in advance, for your support,
