Gryphon Wrestlers at the 2015 Omnium de Quebec

On Saturday, November 28 the Gryphon wrestling team travelled to Pierrefonds to participate in the Omnium de Quebec. This year's team is young but strong on character and enthusiasm. At the end of the day, we had 2 medals, a silver from Luca Di Battista (68 kg) and a bronze from Alex Johnson (48 kg) in the Cadet Division. Moving up an age group to Junior, Henri Lajeunesse placed a very competitive 5th at the 80 kg weight class. Joining the Gryphons at the tournament was Old Boy Ethan Lazare (2014) who placed 5th at the 68 kg Junior division.

The Gryphons will come back from the break for dual meets wit Loyola, Kahnawake and Notre Dame in January, followed by the 2016 Cuba Training Camp in Havana, Cuba.
