Moore, Barmish medal for Concordia
On Feb. 24, Selwyn House Old Boys Alex Moore and Sam Barmish (both 2014) helped Concordia University to a second-place finish at the 2019 USports National Championships, held in Calgary (USports is the National University Championships).
Alex won a gold medal in the 90-kg weight class; Sam won a silver medal in the 82-kg weight class.
Alex was also named the Outstanding Wrestler at the Championships. “Moore won a gold medal and was named the outstanding male wrestler at the nationals last Saturday,” says the Concordia Stingers website. “The second-year athlete dominated the competition in the 90-kilo weight class.”
