Selwyn House School hosted its annual invitational hockey tournament on December 1. It was a very competitive tournament with great hockey games. Guest schools included Collège du Mont-Ste-Anne from Sherbrooke, Collège Jean-Eudes from Montreal-Est, Collège Sainte-Anne from LaSalle, Heritage Regional High School from the South Shore, and Loyola High School from Montreal-Ouest at both the M15 and M18 levels. At the M15 Bantam level, each team played three games over two days, with the top four teams moving on to a medal round. Each team played three games at the M18 Juvenile level, with the top teams moving on to a medal round.
The Gryphons were gracious hosts. Collège du Mont-Ste-Anne’s bantam team won the gold medal against Loyola High School with a final 3-1 score. Loyola High School’s Juvenile team won the gold medal against Collège du Mont-Ste-Anne with a final 4-0 score.
On another note, our volunteer parents were amazing and so welcoming in our hospitality area. Congratulations to all the schools, and we will see you next year! – Coach Chris Laperle, Director of Hockey
