Get-Together Class of '94

Members of the Class of '94 recently got together to talk about old times, especially their Gryphons Football Championship win in 1993 - the first-ever Senior Football Championship for Selwyn House School! Chris Gayton '94, whose four touchdowns contributed to the 37-26 victory over Collège Notre Dame, went on to play Southeastern Conference football. Ben Wearing '94, responsible for the team's other touchdown, went on to play in the CFL for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Current Athletics Director Mike Maurovich was Head Coach of the team and current Headmaster Mike Downey was the Defensive Coordinator.

 

Coach Maurovich reminds the championship team and all other football fans to attend the Homecoming Football Games: Alumni & Family Tailgate at Westmount Athletic Grounds (WAG) (behind Westmount High) on Saturday, September 30 to cheer on the SHS Gryphons. The "Cadet" team (Gr. 8-9) plays at 10 am. The "Juvenile" Team (Gr. 10, 11 & 12) plays at 12 pm.
