Grade 12 retreat 2023!

On September 5, Pre-U students and staff ventured away from the classroom and headed up north for a two-day leadership retreat. Under the guidance of Ms. Tory, Student Life and Leadership Coordinator, the students explored different leadership styles and learned how to effectively plan and execute a leadership project. The students generated a number of exciting leadership project ideas and we hope to see a few of them come to fruition this year. We were lucky to have Mr. Geisterfer and Mr. Giffin, Outdoor Education Coordinator and Outdoor Education Field Specialist, on the trip with us. Between water baseball, beach volleyball, das boot and world domination, the boys had plenty of opportunity to bond as a group. Amidst all the fun, every student had an opportunity to meet with the Pre-U Coordinator, the College and University Advisor and their teachers to discuss their progress on post secondary options, their experience of the Pre-U program so far and any needed action items to address in the coming weeks. All in all the trip was a huge success!  – Stephanie Lynam, Pre-U Coordinator and Teacher
