Grade 10 Science & Technology Students Build Giant Wooden Clothespins

As part of our mechanical engineering unit in Grade 10 Science & Technology, we made giant wooden clothespins. Students learned how to mark out the pieces of wood using a technical drawing, analyze the properties of materials, and, with the help of woodshop teacher Mr. Brydges, drill and saw wood. It was a great way to reinforce our classroom topics with a hands-on activity. - Ms. Egan, Senior School Science teacher
