Grade 9 Service Day 2025

On April 9, Grade 9 students spent the day reflecting, exploring, and collaborating as they tackled big questions: Where do I fit in, and who do I want to be? From discovering post-secondary and career pathways, and gaining insight during a Grade 12 student panel, to diving into choice-based sessions like Spanish with Mme. Vidal, cooking with Mr. Nardi and Mme. Lucas, and injury prevention with our Head Athletic Therapist, Ms. Drisdelle and Ms. Di Stephano, the day was packed with hands-on learning and preparation for Grade 10 and beyond. Students could also explore debating with Mr. Bracewell and exploring the world of influencers with Mme. Theriault. Several students served as teaching assistants in various elementary classes, assisting with their activities.

One highlight was the team-based engineering design challenge, where students assumed different roles, worked together to build creative solutions, and presented their ideas with confidence. We’re happy to report that no eggs were harmed in the process!
A huge thank you to our incredible workshop leaders, staff, teachers, and Grade 12 students for inspiring and supporting our learners every step of the way.
