To conclude their studies on genetic engineering and biotechnology, Pre-University Biology students visited the Clinical Analysis Suite at Concordia University’s School of Health. Students observed cancerous blood cells, explored gene amplification using PCR, and practiced gel electrophoresis techniques. The visit also highlighted key areas in health science. In the cardiopulmonary suite, students learned how the body responds to exercise using tools like VO₂ max testing. In the nutrition suite, a registered dietitian discussed healthy eating habits for independent living and addressed common social media diet myths. Special thanks to the Concordia University School of Health (@concordiasoh) for this enriching experience! - Ms. Dalton, Pre-University Biology Teacher
