Grade 6 Graduation

On June 12, the Grade 6 Graduation was commemorated with a wonderful ceremony attended by family and friends. Pre-recorded sentiments from each of the graduating boys expressing their gratitude to those who helped them during their Elementary school journey played as they crossed the stage to receive their diploma from their homeroom teacher after shaking  Headmaster Downey and Mr. Lajoie’s hands. 

 

In a nod to Ms. Funamoto, former Head of the Elementary School, and her tradition of gifting a bamboo shoot as a parting gift, Mr. Lajoie, current Head of Elementary and Middle School, purchased 50 trees to be planted in Canada’s forests as a living tribute to the class. Thank you to Ms. Funamoto for attending and unveiling the certificate of donation.

 

Congratulations to the graduating Grade 6 class of 2024–2025. We wish you all the best whether you're onto new adventures or returning to Selwyn House for Grade 7 in the fall.
