OBA Induction

Sixty-two new members of the graduating Class of 2023 were officially inducted into the Selwyn House Old Boys’ Association (OBA) at a dinner held on June 19, 2023. Guests included staff, Old Boy relatives of the grads and special invitees. 14 Old Boys dined with the newest Old Boys sharing stories from the past and offering advice for their post-secondary life including Leontis Teryazos ’58, Michael Teryazos ’90, and Alexander Teryazos ’23–three generations! 

 

OBA Board Members Justin Kuzmicki ’05 and Brad White ’94 congratulated the class. Justin noted that some of his best friends to this day are Old Boys. “Our classmates are all different, but we all speak the same language. There is something intangible about our Selwyn House experience,” he said. Brad noted that of all the alumni organizations he belongs to (two universities and SHS), the Selwyn House Old Boys’ Association means the most to him. “This school had the biggest influence on me. The connectivity here is amazing. It’s a strong and powerful community and it’s wonderful to see it grow and flourish.”

 

William Carvalho-Guertin and Nate Mitelman volunteered to be representatives for the class and the Class of 2023 Gift was also announced: The Class of 2023 Recess Fund, to promote healthy living by providing and maintaining new equipment.
