Truss Bridge Building
To complete their unit on the Industrial Revolution, the boys in 8-2 were supplied with graph paper, 100 Popsicle sticks, and a glue gun in order to compete in a truss bridge-building competition. They studied the design and construction methods of the earliest steel bridges for trains. The winning bridge supported the most weight for the longest time.
