Older and younger students become Virtual Buddies

Selwyn House recently launched its Virtual Buddies program, in which Middle School and Senior School students become online mentors to younger students.

The older students provide academic support based on subject to their younger schoolmates over the Zoom video conferencing app. The students meet online twice weekly for 30 minutes at a time, and deal with any issues the younger boy might be having.

“The program started up right after Easter,” says Senior Student Life Coordinator Rachel Cazabon. “Right now we have 29 boys from Grades 1-8 receiving support from older students.”
