Grade 6 students repeat success at annual competition

Several Grade 6 students recently brought home several distinctions from the Canadian Scholastic Achievement League, an annual competition that challenges students to demonstrate knowledge and thinking skills, and recognizes and rewards excellence.

Grade 6 student Lucas Cheung came out on top as this year’s provincial champion, while Selwyn House claimed third place at the national level for the second year in a row. The school team included Lucas Cheung, Jacques Hu, Lucas Zhao and Tommy Hou.

The contest consists of 100 questions that range from easier, to medium, and harder in each section, with a time limit of one hour. Approximately 1,600 Grade 6 students across Canada participated in this year's contest.
