Cross-generational skill-sharing!

Between the winter and spring breaks Middle School students met during lunchtime with Contactivity Center members to learn the basics of knitting and the patience required to make something well. The students became very invested in their creations. One of the boys knitted a scarf for his teddy bear and asked specific questions to get his creation just right. He sparked inspiration for another student who considered making scarves for his little sister's teddy bears, maybe even creating a business out of it. Selwyn House School welcomes all sorts of learning opportunities, but there is something special about cross-generational interactions where we can always learn something from one other.
